I'm Jessica Francis, a biomedical engineering major at the University of Cincinnati. I am from Hillsboro, Ohio.
I love the outdoors and going camping. I was involved in Venturing all through high school and hope to continue with that. I also love traveling and in Spring semester 2017 had the amazing opportunity to TA in China at Chongqing University. I hope to have more international experiences in my future.
I have always been somewhat mechanically inclined. I get this from my father who is a tool and die maker. The summer between my 11th and 12th years of high school, I went to an engineering camp which definitely reinforced my desire to be an engineer.
Since my first year I have been involved in the campus ministry the Navigators. They have a great community through which I have met a lot of great friends and my mentor.
I have also been warmly welcomed in to the UC World Friends community and enjoy going camping with them and learning how to say things in several different languages. I am learning Mandarin very slowly and the Chinese members help me practice all the time.
